Coastal Maine
Fall 2009

Perfect weather and Harlequin Ducks greeted us at the start of our annual November trip to the Maine Coast. Even more perfect weather, warm enough for butterflies and dragonflies, made it hard to leave.

This year's outing included long, gratifying looks at the birds that winter along the New England Coast. Bryan does a lot of teaching on this trip so that you leave with skills for enjoying these birds on your own. We also got great looks at Minke Whales feeding just offshore. And we ate some awesome seafood.
